Dining out when you’re on budget doesn’t have to break the bank when you’re in the Logan area.
Whether you’re catching up with friends and family, dining out for a special occasion or have just been caught out with nothing to eat in the fridge, it’s always nice to treat yourself to a meal out.
But when you’re not flash with cash, it can be hard to find good dining options that are both tasty and won’t break the budget. Here’s our guide to the some of the best cheap eats in the Logan area.
Hit Eat Street
Hit the mark with a night hot food market! For family fun, the Kingston Park Raceway comes alive with the international fun and flavours of the Logan City Council’s Eats and Beats food market. Check out the event website for updates on the next market date. Bring the family or arrange to meet your mates, have a wander and enjoy the vibe of good food, music, rides and fun!
Go Global, al fresco
Another fun food market option is the Global Food Village from 6am – 2pm every Sunday at Croydon Road, Woodridge (opposite the Woodridge train station). Enjoy international breakfast foods from Europe, Africa and Asia, and a day out with international atmosphere amidst more than 185 nationalities and cultural experiences including multi-cultural costumes and shopping.
For a value-packed, generous meal, it’s always hard to go past your local RSL. From the traditional roast dinner through to fish and chips, burgers and mouth-watering steaks and contemporary favourites like salt and pepper squid and Atlantic salmon, your local RSL has it all covered at prices that are pretty hard to beat.
There’s loads of RSL options in the Logan area. Try budget busting hot spots including the Logan Diggers Club or the Logan Rec Club in Kingston, the Beenleigh RSL or Beenleigh Bowls and Rec Club, or the Greenbank RSL.
Cheap and cheerful Chinese
Everyone loves a night out at the local Chinese every now and then. Try New Diamond Chinese Restaurant – it’s tried and tested by reviewers on Trip Advisor who give it top marks for being the best (and yummiest!) cheap Chinese in town.
Midweek Mexican mania
If you’re looking for a midweek meal that won’t break the bank, check out Serranos Mexican Cantina in Beenleigh. Voted Queensland’s Best Mexican more than 5 times, they have some great midweek specials. Receive a free bottle of wine with 2 main meals on Mondays, Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays, or there’s $5 Coronas on Wednesdays. Olé!!
Tempted by tandoori?
For top taste at top value, Tumeric Indian Restaurant in Daisy Hill takes out top prize and is ranked #1 in the Logan area by TripAdvisor’s tough reviewers. With discount takeaway offers including 20% off your first takeaway order, 8th order free and a free entrée with orders over $50, they also do dine-in with free BYO so are very budget friendly.
We’re sure that’s all gotten your tummy rumbling, so what are you waiting for? Treat yourself to a meal out with your mates now!
