Even if you take meticulous care of your teeth, it’s a fact of life that you’ll have to visit the dentist periodically. While most people certainly don’t consider a dentist visit enjoyable, it’s a necessity. A necessity that usually comes at a high cost!
If you don’t regularly visit the dentist for check ups or necessary work, a tooth problem can escalate quickly and cause serious damage to your mouth and health, and will usually wind up becoming a lot more expensive when treated at a later date. We offer loans across Australia – including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
Dental procedures come in the form of health related maintenance, and aesthetics – but neither come cheap. A dental visit itself can often cost hundreds of dollars, and amount into the thousands when surgery is conducted or significant cosmetic work is undertaken.
Whether you’re in a situation where you need to visit the dentist for health reasons, or you’d like some cosmetic work done to your teeth, if you don’t’ have the necessary funds, don’t worry. Our dental loans are made to help our people in this exact situation.
Our dental loans are a breeze to apply for and are approved quickly. In fact, the whole process is as easy as 1, 2, 3, as you can see below.
ONLINE APPLICATION
To apply for a loan with City Finance, you’ll need to fill in an online application form, which you can find here. The application is simple and you’ll just be required to select the amount you’d like to borrow and the repayment time, as well as fill in some personal information and send proof of identity.
CONFIRMATION
Once we receive the information from you, someone from our team will call you to confirm your application details. If your application is approved, we’ll send you an email confirming the approval. We’ll also get your bank details so we can send over the money.
FUNDING
Once you’ve been approved, you should receive the money by the end of the day. However, most customers receive the money even sooner. From here you’ll be able to spend the money on what you please – and you will just need to meet the contracted repayments (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
What is a dental loan?
A dental loan is an unsecured loan that can be used to paid for any type of dental procedures or treatments. Because they’re unsecured loans, they don’t require any security to be put forward in order to be approved. Instead, once the loan is granted the money is deposited into your bank account, and you can pay your dental bills personally.
Of course, in many situations a dentist visit may be an emergency. If this is the case, then it’s not a problem. Our application process itself only takes a few minutes, and our loans are approved and paid out very fast. In fact, many of our customers receive the money in their bank on the same day that they apply for a loan with us.
We offer dental loans for amounts between $500 and $5000, and you can customer your loan length to anytime between 12 weeks and 52 weeks. You also have the ability to choose whether you’d prefer to make weekly, fortnightly, or monthly repayments and this can be organised as a direct deposit on your pre agreed repayment date.
Different types of dental loans:
At City Finance we have two different types of dental loans available to help you fix or improve your teeth.
The first is a smaller loan that works well for smaller expenses, like a check up, cleaning or quick filling. The second type of car repair loan we offer is ideal for applicants who have more costly treatment in mind for their teeth, like veneers, multiple fillings or a deep root canal.
Below are our two types of dental loans:
- A SACC (small amount credit contract)
With this type of dental loan, you can borrow between $500 and $2,000. The cost is a 20% upfront establishment fee (split across payments) and monthly fees of 4% for maintenance.
- A MACC (medium amount credit contract).
If your teeth need a dental treatment that costs upwards of $2,000, you can opt for a MACC. With a MACC you can loan between $2,001 and $5,000. You will be charged a flat upfront $400 establishment fee (split across payments) and a 48% annual percentage rate. With this option, there are no monthly fees for maintenance.

Why choose City Finance for a personal loan?
We work quickly
At City Finance, we focus on loans, and loans only. Because we’re not distracted with other financial matters, this allows us to approve applications quickly. We understand that, in many cases, customers will need the money fast for an urgent need. So, we’ve worked hard to streamline our process in order to approve and process loans as fast as possible.
We’re inclusive
Some lenders and financial institutions are very stringent with their terms, and will automatically deny an application if it doesn’t’ perfectly fit their criteria. We’re not like other lenders. Rather than sending applications through a computerized checklist, we take time to personally access each one. Even if you may not be considered an ideal borrower somewhere else (Eg. you have a bad credit score, are unemployed or self employed), there’s still a good chance we’ll be able to approve your loan.
We’re flexible
We understand that everyone has different circumstances, so we don’t think that a loan should be a one-size-fits-all type of arrangement. Instead, we tailor our loans to personally suit your situation. We can adjust the loan amount, loan length and repayment frequency, so that it works best for you.
We’re trusted
We’ve been in the lending industry for [insert amount] of years and are proven to be well trusted and reputable. Our glowing five star reviews from the thousands of customers we’ve helped speak for themselves.
We make borrowing easy
We know that life get’s busy and that it can be very easy to accidentally missed a repayment date. Plus, when you’re borrowing money in order to improve your financial situation, the last thing you need is to be hit with a late payment fee! We’ve taken the hassle out of borrowing by setting up a direct debit initiative, which will automatically transfer your monthly repayment to us from your nominated bank account on the due date.
We’re understanding
Sometimes situations pop up that make it impossible (or very hard) for borrowers to meet their repayment – and that’s ok. If you find yourself in a situation like this, you can reach out to one of our friendly team members and they will work with you to sort out a contingency plan that you feel comfortable with.
What dental procedures can I use a personal loan for?
Dental visits are neither fun nor cheap, however they are an important part of life! If a tooth problem is left too long, it can cause major damage to your mouth, and end up costing a lot more down the road.
While some dental visits are a matter of health, some are for aesthetics purposes. One of the most attractive features on a person is a big, bright, white smile with perfectly straight teeth.
Whether your desired dental procedures are aesthetic or health focussed, below are some things you can use a dental loan for.
Root canal
An average root canal in Australia (without a crown) costs between $2000 and $3400 – no small feat. Plus, if you find yourself in a situation where you need an emergency root canal, you’ll need to get it treated straight away. Even if you have private health insurance, the whole price of the dental work probably won’t be covered. Getting hit with such a high bill can be a big hit on finances, so a dental loan can help cover the costs and allow you to pay the amount back gradually.
Braces
A huge percentage of people get braces at some point of their life. Whether you’re looking to straighten your adult smile, or you have one or more children that require braces, the costs can be significant. However, the life long affect braces create can be priceless. Allow you – or your children – both the luxury and comfort of a straight smile by investing in braces. If their cost is a negating factor, use a dental loan to cover part, or all, of the costs.
Teeth whitening
Yellow teeth can age a person significantly, and a bright white smile can really refresh a face and boost confidence. Teeth whitening is a simple process, that’s very effective and lasts for years. Have you always dreamt of whitening your teeth but never had the money to do so? Well, now you can have that money quickly with a personal loan from City Finance.
Veneers
In recent years, cosmetic veneers have become extremely popular. They are a way to instantly create a perfect straight and white smile. However, veneers are very expensive, with the average cost of a single porcelain veneer costing about $1300 in Australia. While this sort of expense may have seemed impossible without a loan, a dental loan can cover the costs and allow you to pay the amount back gradually.
Dentures
The majority of elder people will require dentures at one point or another. As we grow older, teeth deteriorate and dentures are a great replacement option. However, dentures come at a significant cost and the dental payment plans that dental practices offer can be very expensive. Keep more money in your pocket by taking our a dental loan and gradually paying off dentures that way.
Chipped tooth
Accidents happen, and when these accidents involve the mouth, it’s common to wind up with a chipped tooth. Private health insurance covers some emergency expenses, however you’ll more than likely be left with some out of pocket costs when fixing a chipped tooth. If you find yourself in this situation, you can take out a personal loan with us to cover costs and get the tooth fixed straight away.
Dental x-rays
If you’ve ever experienced a debilitating tooth ache, you’ll know that it normally requires a dental x-ray to determine the specific problem. While a general dentist appointment can be expensive, a dental x-ray will normally cost a lot more. Our personal loans can help to cover some, or all, of the costs.
