Crafty Halloween Fun

While you’re in the DIY mood, get into the Halloween spirit and have some crafty fun with the kids while decorating your house for Halloween.

Get creative with some of these fun Halloween crafts from BrisbaneKids. There’s dancing ghosts, spooky black bats, a scary Egyptian mummy, ghosts and ghouls garlands, Halloween monsters and many more!

Trick or treat in your street

Get the kids dressed up in their spookiest Halloween best, and enjoy the fun community spirit of trick or treating in your neighbourhood.

  • Perhaps put a leaflet like this and coloured balloon in neighbours’ letterboxes, telling them the trick or treating time and inviting them to tie the balloon to their letterbox or front fence if they’d like to participate.
  • Have a chat with the kids before you leave about safety, remind them to use their manners, and stay with them at all times.
  • Make sure the kids know not to eat any of their lollies until you get home. This will ensure you know what – and how much – is going into your little monsters tummies!
  • Another fun activity to consider is “Reverse Trick or Treating”. Visit your neighbours and hand out lollies! It could be a great way to meet new neighbours and convert some Halloween sceptics.

Spooky bowling!

Get bowled over by all the spooktacular Halloween fun at the Mt Warren Lanes Halloween party! From 5:30pm – 7:30pm on Saturday 31st October, dress up in your Halloween costume for best dressed prizes, glow bowling lights, music and bowling fun. Every child receives a Halloween prize. Bookings are essential with a $10 deposit required per lane.
